BenBen is the “Saddest Cat on the Internet” but is actually so happy and excited to meet YOU at the Edmonton International Cat Festival on May 25!)
BenBen CatCat was found injured on the streets and taken to a shelter in B.C. The shelter didn’t think BenBen would make it—with his injuries and medical conditions, they said he might never walk again. BenBen was actually just a day from being euthanized before his furever family adopted—and saved his life.
He got “The saddest cat on the Internet” nickname due to his slightly sad eyes and pout, and certainly his situation was once sad but now he’s happy, healthy, walking, and charming the Internet with his FamJam.
We are so thrilled to have BenBen be part of our 10-year anniversary event as one of our Three Celebrity Cat Guests presented by Cheery Cat Co., cat specialty cat boutique based in Edmonton.
On May 25, 2024, BenBen will do a Meet & Greet and Q&A on the Festival Main Stage—and it's all included with your Cat Festival ticket!
100% of net proceeds from ticket sales are also donated to this year's three local cat rescue donation recipients.
We’ll also be ameowncing limited VIP Ticket Packages and purrks soon as well!

This in-person Cat Festival will be held at:
MacEwan University Robbins Health Learning Centre
in Downtown Edmonton, Alberta
from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
on Caturday, May 25, 2024.
You are encouraged to pre-purrchase tickets for $15 online (advance) $20 at door.
Kids 12 and under are FREE!
100% of net proceeds from ticket sales and other fundraising efforts will be donated to this year’s rescue recipients: Community Cats Edmonton, Enoch Animal Services and Greater Edmonton Animal Rescue Society!
There will be cat vendors, CATivities, cat presentations, celebrity cat meet & greets, rescues (adoptable cats), and so meowch more! We’ll have a pawsome line-up of cat-themed everything for cat lovers. We expect thousands of cat lovers to attend!
And we’re planning other cat-themed events throughout Cat Month (May) too!
